Everything you see here is the brainchild of Pam Hawk.

Pam Hawk is the creative force behind Pass It On Plates, in idea that started in early 2003 and grew into a business.  Creative and determined, she designed and built her own website, learning all the ins and outs of building and publishing a website along the way.

She has other projects in the works that will accompany Pass It On Plates at some time in the near future.

Pam has always been an extremely creative person, and her ideas are always ahead of the curve.  Her background includes a childhood arts and crafts business called "Pam's Crafts."  She majored in Graphic Design in college.  Unfortunately, in the late 1980's when she told her advisor that she wanted to learn about computer graphics and wanted to do digital graphic design, her college told her that computer design was a fad and they weren't going to put money into that kind of program.  Knowing they were wrong and that they just didn't see it coming, she left school to work for a while.

During this time, Pam has worked has been a professional photographer, an ordering manager at a large art supply store, a concierge, a supervisor in the window treatment and wallpaper department at a large home improvement store, a faux painter, a teacher, a writer and blogger.  She has had other jobs as well, which paid the bills but didn't satisfy her need to be creative.  Sometimes her need to think and work outside the box became a plus for her job, other times it got her into trouble.  At the end of the day she also takes on the roles of wife, mother, and household alpha human to a couple of dogs and a hamster named Paul.

Friends can always count on Pam to come up with the most unusual but always workable ideas for their projects.  She understands people's viewpoints and tastes and can easily tailor projects to perfectly meet their needs.  Her sense of humor is sharp and warped and often her own projects have a little twist to them that her closest friends refer to as being "very Pamish."  She sends lacy valentine cards with anatomically correct hearts on them.  A framed advertisement from 1943 featuring a recipe for Spam and Limas graces her dining room wall.  She insists it protects her cooking; no matter how badly she mangles a recipe, she points out, she could be serving Spam and Limas.  People eat.  Back in college she hot glued objects to the ceiling in her dorm room.  Why?  Just to see the expression on visitors' faces when they looked up.  When she changes the message on her voicemail it takes her approximately 30 tries to get it professional enough to not freak out prospective clients.  (She does have a tape of old answering machine messages, some were too good to erase.)

She's always looking for opportunities to put her own unique spin on projects and invites you to explore what she can do for you.

Forget about just "thinking outside the box."

Pam never had that box to begin with.
